Subject	what can cause an engine to search?

Message	pulsing, hunting, searching, surging, all words for the symptom i'm wondering about. does anyone keep a comprehensive list of possible causes of this on the top of their head? i've heard/seen in threads O2 sensors, temp sensor, any of the IACV's, vacuum leaks, but is that all? do any of those not belong?
